When the news broke that their album was pushed to 2009 I knew the tour would follow but I don't think the excitement hit until just now!

My trip was booked for April and then the band canceled for sad family reasons. I had never been to Hawaii before so I still went in April for 10 days as planned...5 days on Oahu and 5 days on GORGEOUS Maui!
Well, in July of 2006 U2 announced the rescheduled dates for the Vertigo Tour. The new date for Aloha Stadium was 12/9/06. I already had my concert ticket so I HAD to go back for the show right?!!! I stayed on Oahu for 5 days for the show and then to BEAUTIFUL Kauai for 5 days!

I went to the dermatologist today. About two months ago I had my hair pulled back to scrub my face and noticed something on my temple that had NEVER been there before!! Ack! So I made an appointment.
Diagnosis? It's a mole. Just a mole. Nothing to worry about! I had been a bit worried since sometimes I spend a little time in the sun. LOL!

Back on 7/21/08 iTunes released an exclusive U2 album called 'Live from Paris'. It was recorded at the Hippodrome de Vincennes in Paris on 7/4/87. Twenty one years ago from the Joshua Tree tour!
I didn't notice this album was available until late last night! I had to beg one of my brothers to let me borrow an iTunes gift card so I could buy it!!
The songs and Bono's voice sound AMAZING!!!! I got chills this morning listening to it on the way to work! Ahhhhhh!
I immediately made copies for my friend Whatever and for the Crush too! LOL

U2 at Slane Castle on 8/25/2001.
My brother Joe and I went with 80,000 of our closest friends. LOL
The funniest thing was a small band called Coldplay opened up for U2 and played right before the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Hmmm. Going to post 8 random facts about myself. I will try:
1) I was the last one in my kindergarten class to learn how to tie my shoes. My Mom still has the gold cardboard shoe with my name on it that I finally received when I mastered the difficult task! LOL
2) Zippers and Escalators make me nervous. Zippers because I could never zip properly when I was young and always had button up coats because of it. Escalators because one time my rubber boot got caught in one at Sears. No damage to my foot but the boot was mangled.
3) I've worked for the same company for 23 years. (Whoa!!)
4) My Dad wanted to name me Deidre Ann when I was born, but my Mom named me Kathleen Elsa (her middle name too). She saved me from being a Dee Dee!!! Plus I have to very cool initials of KEG!!! : )
5) I met Anthony Edwards at the Williams Inn in Williamstown, MA when one of my friends was going to school there. He was in a play called 'Speed the Plow' at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. It was after his 'Top Gun' days...so of course the only thing I could come out with was "I cried when Goose died!" LOL
6) I have identical twin brothers. Growing up there were FIVE sets of twins on our street; including on either side of our house.
7) I am a scrapbooker and started in 2001. I love to take photos so it was easy to start!
8) I'm a huge U2 fan. I've been lucky to see them up and down the East Coast as well as in Hawaii, Ireland and England. Where will I see them next???!!!
