Traveling during the holidays can be chaotic. How will you use technology to ensure the trips you have planned remain stress free?
Vox? First of all what is with all the sponsored questions?! If you notice....I remove all the 'sponsored by' lines in your questions anyway! So THERE!Secondly...thanks for reminding me that I have no trips planned for the holidays! Hmmmph!
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
I am thankful for:
- Family
- Friends
- Health
- My job
- The places I get to travel to
- My iPhone!
Hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Wahooooooooo!!!!
So, there I was at work this morning, minding my own business at about 11:30am.
My cell phone lit up and then started to ring. It was my U2 friend from The OC. : )
He wanted to know if I wanted to go see U2 in Oakland !!
I have been to California on the way to Hawaii twice in my older years and once when I was young and really don't remember that trip much!
I know that Oakland is very close to San Francisco and I've always wanted to visit so I said yes right away!!!!!
He bought the tickets right away at 10am west coast time!
Looks like I will be at the Oakland Coliseum on 6/16/2010 !!!!!!!! : )
Now comes the fun part!
Planning the flight and finding a place to stay!
He already told me that he would be pilot and I could be co-pilot which is fine by me! : )
What do your Vox tags say about you? (Add tags to the end of your Vox blog address, and have a look.)
Submitted by Jack Yan.
That's easy VOX!!! It looks like I LOVE Bono, London, Travel, U2 and the U2360 Tour!
Hmmm, it also looks like I may have written a little about the anti crush. Hmmph. : (

Sunday was a beautiful day in Chicago!! Even after getting back to my hotel after 1:30am I was VERY HAPPY! I called the concierge and somehow it ended up that I was going in a limo that night with her and her friends to Soldier Field. Outstanding customer service I say!! : )
When Bono said 'We've got new songs, we've got old songs, we've got songs we've never played before.' I knew it was going to be another spectacular night! Oooooooooooooooh and it was!!! U2 played 'Your Blue Room' a song that they have never played live before. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Here's what else they played on 9/13 (from U2tours):
Main Set: Breathe, No Line On The Horizon, Get On Your Boots, Magnificent, Beautiful Day, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Elevation, Your Blue Room, Unknown Caller, Until the End of the World, Stay (Faraway, So Close), The Unforgettable Fire, City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo, I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (remix), Sunday Bloody Sunday, MLK, Walk On, One - Amazing Grace, Where the Streets Have No Name Encore(s): Ultraviolet, With or Without You, Moment of Surrender Comments: U2 performs 'Your Blue Room,' a track from the Passengers album in 1995, for the first time. Astronauts from the Intl. Space Station recite the final, spoken words of the song (via pre-recorded video). Bono jogs around the circle with a young boy during Blinding Lights. Pride is dropped for the first time since August 28, 2001. One is played before Streets as part of a three-song medley, bridged by Bono singing 'Amazing Grace.' One includes the 'Hear us coming' coda. Bono sings a bit of 'Far Far Away' at the start of Beautiful Day. These are some of my photos from night two! I had a side view of the claw on night two
Love to hear the opening notes of Breathe
Because that means LARRY is on his way out!!
The boys
The Edge always rocks
I couldn't believe they played Your Blue Room
Bono needed a rest
This was right before he pulled a boy up to do a lap around the stage during COBL
Good night Chicago
Until Gillette Stadium! I will be in Foxboro on Sunday and Monday nights!! Only a 40 minute drive!!! : )
I LOVED both nights at Soldier Field. That stadium is huge. The crowd was amazing and so were U2 of course! I will write more about each show later in the week but wanted to get some photos on VOX.
OH!! My hotel was The W Hotel Lakeshore. LOVED that place! I have never stayed at the W chain before, but hope to get the chance again! When they answer the phone they say 'What is your wish?' and they are NOT kidding. They want to do whatever and whenever for you! Example? I called the concierge on Sunday morning after not getting back to the hotel after 1:30 Saturday night from the concert. (not enough taxis) I wanted to make sure I had a ride Sunday. The concierge was too funny! She said 'Oh I'm going to the show tonight!' So I said kind've jokingly 'I'm going with you!' and she said FINE! I had to go down to introduce myself and later that night I went to the show with her and 3 of her friends in a limo!! : )
Oh, the other thing that made me giggle was the wake up call: 'Sorry to interrupt your dreams but this is the wake up call you requested. Have a nice day KEG!' : )
These are some photos from my iPhone from the first Chicago show:
I am here at work until noon on Friday 9/11/09. Going home to do laundry, pack and get ready for my flight tomorrow morning to Chicago! Wooo hooooooo!
I am VERY excited and still a little nervous at the same time. I have never been to Chicago before, I think that's why!!
ALL the U2 sites are buzzing about the first USA shows happening!! I can feel the excitement!!
Atu2.com posted this AWESOME photo of the Claw at Soldier Field. The sky looks perfect behind it! Hope the weather holds out while I am visiting!!
I've been checking out THIS webcam of Soldier Field and watching the progress as the huge trucks come and go into the area to bring all that is a U2 tour to Chicago!
