Ahhhhhh. A week ago I was still in the glorious 85 degree weather of the Bahamas!!
Vacation was wonderful. Took alot of photos! These are some of my favorite ones:
This was my view that I woke up to every day. It looked like this every day too for a week. Well, except Wednesday when it was raining until about 11am...but then SUNSHINE!
My drink of choice. The strawberry daiquiri. YUM! I also had a few Kalik beers too and lots of water!
The Atlantis property was gorgeous. Lots of sea creatures close by to check out. The turtles were so big...but graceful in a way, and the rays were cool to watch circle in huge packs!
I love seashells! So of course this roof caught my eye!
There were lots of beautiful tropical flowers all around too!
All in all it was a very relaxing week!!!
I would go back in a minute!!!
Last week at this time I was still in Aruba. I was on the 'One Happy Island' from 10/6 to 10/13. Every day was warm, sunny and tropical !!!! It was a VERY relaxing week in the sun! I feel very lucky and a little spoiled!
I was outside at the Westin in the sun by 1:30 on 10/6. The first person I saw was Ricardo! He took great care of me all week making sure I was drinking lots of liquids!! PLUS he remembered me from my visit in May! : )
I tried to make it a point to be outside in the sun each day from before 10:30am to about 5:15pm. The pool is beautiful and very refreshing. Each day pool attendants would deliver fruit on a stick to keep everyone cool !
Those fountains were great. When the wind blew they would mist you with a cool spray of water! Plus for phone calls home everyone knew I was sitting pool side! LOL
The grounds of the hotel have lots of wildlife. Birds and iguanas! Gorgeous flowers! I took some cool photos of the scenery at the Westin.
I have to say the tropical drink photo is my favorite though! Yummy daiquiris every day there! Thanks Ricardo!! : )
Until next time Aruba!
Saturday night was daiquiri night at Geri's with Jules and Leslie!! YUM!! Her daiquiris are very rum heavy....but that is a VERY good thing!
Somehow (LOL) the discussion came around to crushes. I thrilled the girls with silly details about Crush Monkey. I am sure there were some things they wish I didn't share but we all laughed a lot anyway!
Then we focused on Les and a crush of hers. I was trying to defend myself for doing something totally silly by saying 'At least I didn't bring in a fish!!!' LOL!!!
Then, something happened. Allegedly the fish was not remembered. In fact the giving of the fish was denied completely by Les!! Imagine my shock and horror. Could I have had too much rum and made up this fish story!?!? NO!
I went home and had a restless night sleep. The first thing I remembered when I woke up Sunday morning (at 8am) was that the person that the fish was given to named them after some Scituate fisherman. AHA!!!!!
The diary doesn't lie people!!!!!! I had to go back...way back in time to 1992 to find the entry...but there it was. Les gave her crush a fish!! LOL!!!
I may not remember everything, but if it's written down it'll never be forgotten!
