Hmmm. Going to post 8 random facts about myself. I will try:
1) I was the last one in my kindergarten class to learn how to tie my shoes. My Mom still has the gold cardboard shoe with my name on it that I finally received when I mastered the difficult task! LOL
2) Zippers and Escalators make me nervous. Zippers because I could never zip properly when I was young and always had button up coats because of it. Escalators because one time my rubber boot got caught in one at Sears. No damage to my foot but the boot was mangled.
3) I've worked for the same company for 23 years. (Whoa!!)
4) My Dad wanted to name me Deidre Ann when I was born, but my Mom named me Kathleen Elsa (her middle name too). She saved me from being a Dee Dee!!! Plus I have to very cool initials of KEG!!! : )
5) I met Anthony Edwards at the Williams Inn in Williamstown, MA when one of my friends was going to school there. He was in a play called 'Speed the Plow' at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. It was after his 'Top Gun' days...so of course the only thing I could come out with was "I cried when Goose died!" LOL
6) I have identical twin brothers. Growing up there were FIVE sets of twins on our street; including on either side of our house.
7) I am a scrapbooker and started in 2001. I love to take photos so it was easy to start!
8) I'm a huge U2 fan. I've been lucky to see them up and down the East Coast as well as in Hawaii, Ireland and England. Where will I see them next???!!!
There were so many different kinds of gorgeous flowers on display!!! Jenn gave us a tour and even showed us where her parents renewed their wedding vows on their 40th anniversary! (and we got to visit with them too before we came home!)
Both Deb and Jenn have awesome cameras! It was fun to watch them in action with their 'babies' and I can't wait to see their photos!!
Thanks girls for a FUN DAY!!!!!!

The Los Angeles Times to be exact. (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-scrapper12jan12,0,2021590.story?coll=la-home-center)
I didn't buy the issue this year. Just wasn't excited about it like in years past. Plus the drama kind've turned me off too!!
So, vacation is over. I totally enjoyed my time off! Christmas and New Years were both awesome!
The one thing I did though that made me happiest was to CREATE!
I organized my supplies a little bit more. I put pages in albums. I ran out of albums to put pages into even!
I have 59 pages of my December 2006 Hawaii trip that need to go into an album!!
This is what 59 pages look like!
Ok, and here is a peek of two of my pages.

Oh WOW. The Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame debacle has been mentioned in Newsweek magazine. Now, I'm not sure if it's just the online edition or not...but STILL!!!! WOW!!
I can remember when scrapping used to be fun! REALLY!
Here is the article:
If scrapbooking conjures up images of kindly suburban women passing pictures around the kitchen table, then you don't know the modern hobby. Outraged scrapbookers recently forced the industry's top magazine, Creating Keepsakes, to strip a New York woman of its coveted Hall of Fame title after readers noticed a photo credit on one of her layouts. The rules require all entries to be the "sole work" of contestants. But while Kristina Contes admits that she made a mistake, she blames "petty, jealous women" for bullying contest officials into disqualifying her work. "I mean, it's not like I stole someone's boyfriend," says the 28-year-old restaurateur. "This isn't high school."
But it is a cutthroat business. Scrappers spent $2.6 billion on supplies last year, according to the Craft & Hobby Association, and one in four households contains a scrapbooker, making it more popular than golf. The Hall of Fame award can bring celebrity status, TV appearances and teaching jobs. After Contes declined to return her title voluntarily, irate hobbyists smeared her on blogs and threatened to flood her restaurant with fake reservations. "The b–––h doesn't have a moral bone in her body," wrote a commenter on the Scrap Smack blog. Over on the Creating Keepsakes Web site, angry readers cried cover-up and threatened boycotts when editors deleted unkind comments about the company from the site's discussion boards. "I wanted an explanation," says Noell Hyman, who was among the first to question Contes's work. She got more than that: Contes and another woman whose work was questioned have been replaced in the 25-member Hall of Fame class for 2007. "Women prove time and again that they are ridiculous, vile creatures," says Contes. She plans to retreat from the scissors-and-glue game—but she'll always have the memories.
