Grey's Anatomy wrenches my heart every week, but I still watch. I love the characters and their storylines.
My new favorite character this season is Owen Hunt. He is a trauma surgeon who served in Iraq. He has deep mental scars but somehow allows himself to fall in love with Cristina. The scars get in the way of their relationship though and this week he can only say three word sentences to her. Not 'I Love You' but ones to take the place of those three words.
'Nice work today' and 'take care now' are two of them. The scene at the end tonight had me in tears.
Finally. The return of Thursday night TV. I thought it was a joke when I read that ABC is calling this 'National Stay at Home Week' but I am on board....for at least Thursday night!
This rarely happens but there is too much TV that I actually want to see!!
Ugly Betty is on at 8pm, followed by two hours of Grey's Anatomy. In the middle of that though The Office is on at 9pm. Hopefully one of the twins will dvr The Office for me. If worse comes to worst Steve Jobs & Apple made peace with NBC so I could buy the episode on iTunes!
So, I will be sitting in front of the TV from at least 8pm to 11pm tomorrow night! LOL!
Here it is. My must see TV recap. Three hours of TV is too much!
Ugly Betty: Henry is gone!! (YAY!) Betty is sad though without him. She tries to keep busy at work and even gets an assignment writing an article. The first person she tells about it? GIO!! He kisses her when she goes to pick up lunch for the office! GO GIO!!!
The sweetest moment of the episode is at the end when Betty finally asks Gio to hang out and he says NO. Why??? Because he 'doesn't want to be the rebound guy' he wants to be 'THE guy' AWWWWWWWW!
Grey's Anatomy: This episode was called 'Losing My Mind' and it was a little crazy. Meredith and Derek's latest tumor patient Greta appears to be having romantic delusions about someone named Andre that she met on a cruise. Meredith wanted to move onto the surgery quickly thinking that he didn't exist and Derek of course believed in the romance and wanted to give him more time to show up if he did exist. The surgery went on and Andre didn't show up until Greta was out of surgery and in a coma.
WHY DO THEY MAKE ME CRY LIKE THAT??!!!
Then the voice over at the end. YIKES! 'Don't wonder why people go crazy. Wonder why they don't. In the face of all we can lose in a day, in an instant, wonder what the hell it is that makes us hold it together.'
The Office: YES!!!!! Some comic relief after crying during Grey's!!! Toby is really leaving? I guess so since the title of the episode was 'Goodbye Toby' and the theme was his going away party! I'll miss Toby!! Phyllis is planning the going away party and I clap my hands when Jim gives her money for fireworks!!! He is going to propose! Wahoooooooooooo!
Hmmm. But the proposal is foiled when Andy steals the spotlight and proposes to Angela in front of everyone and she says YES???!!!!
This was a great episode but with so many questions not answered! No Pam and Jim engagement? Is Pam really going to school in NY? Will this be during the summer and the season will start with her return?! Is Phyllis blinded from when she saw Angela and Dwight together in the office at the end of the episode?! LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight I watched more TV than I have watched all week. Three hours. One hour of Ugly Betty, one of Grey's Anatomy and one of The Office.
The quote that made me laugh the most during The Office was this one:
Michael: What's the group, that were from Scranton and made it big? Was that U2?
Jim: Yes
Bwa hahahahahahahahahahah!
Ok, tired and need sleep. More tomorrow!
Thursday is one of the two nights I watch television. There is a whole lot of junk on tv these days...but ABC on Thursdays....AWESOME!
Ugly Betty. Love this show. It's supposed to be a comedy really. But most episodes I end up a little teary eyed too! LOVE how the actress America Ferrera plays Betty so sweet and tough at the same time!!
Tonight was a teary eyed episode. Betty's bosses Dad (Bradford Meade) died at the end of the episode. However he was lucky enough to find out in the end who really loved him. Tears were rolling and then ABC added U2's 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own' to the soundtrack and i was sobbing.
Grey's Anatomy. Great episode. Just awesome!!
I'd like to say that I watched The Office...but...either Rob didn't set the DVR or the DVR failed. So....I missed the last new episode of The Office this season due to the writers strike. Will have to attempt to watch it online this weekend.
YAY!!! It is finally Thursday! I haven't watched any tv lately. The shows that are on just don't interest me at all. BUT tonight is a different story! There is Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy and The Office to watch! Woooo Hooooooooo!
I can watch Ugly Betty at 8pm with no problem. It's the 9:00 time slot that has become an issue. ABC and NBC have put Grey's and The Office on at the same time! WTF?!???? Obviously ALOT of people will be DVRing one or both of those shows! I hope to watch The Office first and catch up on Grey's later.
I will be making up for not watching any TV this week tonight it looks like!
