I think U2.com must know every time my brain wanders away from thinking about U2. How do I know this? I open up my email just now and there is yet ANOTHER presale going on for 2010.
We all know how much I love U2, but my brain is going to explode!!! How much can I take!?!? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Originally I had thought about flying from the Toronto show on 7/3 to Chicago show on 7/6. BUT today I was invited to Oakland on 6/16 and I am going. So maybe I should spend more time out there and just fly home from Toronto and skip Chicago??!
Well, the presale for my group for Chicago isn't until Wednesday, so there is time for me to make up my mind!
What to do???!
Dear Crush Monkey,
As a U2.com subscriber we're pleased to invite you to take part in ticket presales for five more 2010 North American dates to go on sale on U2's 360° Tour - Anaheim, Denver, Chicago, Miami and New York.
In order to take part in the presales you will need your PERSONAL PRESALE ACCESS CODE(s) which you will see below.
If you did not use your presale access code for 2009 360° Tour European shows or for 2010 shows which have already gone on sale, and you have now resubscribed to U2.com for a further 12 months, a SECOND presale access code is also displayed below.
Oh good morning! Didn't even go to the show last night and I feel like I sang with the Rose Bowl crowd last night!!!
I stayed awake as long as I could to take in the live feed on Youtube!!! My eyes were closing and ended up goint to bed when Ultra Violet came on. It was almost 2am. Pretty much knew by then that there were not going to be any surprises.
Have to say that Bono was wild for the crowd and the cameras last night. He was dancing, he was running, he was staring into the cameras AND he was making Bono-like s*x noises. Oh yes! I did NOT imagine this either, because I was watching the live feed on a U2 website and there were many MANY comments on these noises too!
Ok here is the final setlist from last night at the Rose Bowl. If they DVD was to come out today, just as it was recorded last night...it would be PERFECT! (from u2 gigs)

The shows in Oakland, Edmonton, and Toronto will go on sale on Monday 2 November and Denver will go on sale on Friday 6 November. The other shows will follow later in November. There will be presales for U2.com members; those for Oakland, Edmonton, and Toronto begin on Tuesday 27 October.
The tour announcement mentions "additional dates and cities to be confirmed". However, it also emphasises that the visits to Toronto and Chicago are for "one night only".
So excited!!! : )
Ahhhhhh! There has been speculation since U2's tour has started on where they will film the DVD for this tour.
I thought it would be someplace in Europe, because (sorry US fans!) the fans there are just TOTALLY into it. New Wembley Stadium would've provided a nice backdrop. LOL!! : )
Then I thought for sure it would be in Chicago on the opening night in the USA. Nope.
With the US tour winding down, I thought maybe they would put it off until 2010. I was wrong.
Got an email from U2.com with this information:
As a U2.com subscriber, we wanted you to be first with some breaking news - this Sunday the band's 360° Show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena will be filmed for a dvd.
It'll be officially announced later today but at 8.30pm (PT) on Sunday, wherever you are in the world don't miss the chance to see the show live and uninterrupted online. See a clip on You Tube.
As well as being able to watch the show, we'll bring our subscribers news as the week progresses from our video reporter on the ground. We'll also have bulletins from Director Tom Krueger and other exclusive video footage from backstage over the weekend.
Stay tuned, should be quite a night...
best wishes,
The U2.Com Team

So, with all the U2 news lately I almost overlooked the latest Snow Patrol news!! LOVE these guys and saw them open for U2 twice in Boston and Chicago!! : )
They have a new CD coming out here in the USA on November 10th!!!!! Wooooo hoooo!
These are the awesome details!!!
Snow Patrol have just announced details of ‘Up To Now’, a collection of the band’s best loved songs, as well as 3 new tracks including forthcoming single ‘Just Say Yes.’
Over fifteen years and five studio albums, the part Scottish, part Irish five piece have sketched heart-bruised ballads (Set Down Your Glass) and arm-around-your-best-mate festival anthems (Run); radio hits (Chasing Cars) and moments of painful introspection (You Could Be Happy). All of these have been gathered together for ‘Up To Now’ - a thirty track, double album of singles, cover versions, rarities, album tracks and a handful of new songs as well as compositions by the Reindeer Section – an indie supergroup featuring members of Scotland’s guitar elite - Belle and Sebastian, Idlewild and Teenage Fanclub among many others – and co-ordinated by Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody.
Released on the 9th November ‘Up To Now’ will be available on a two disc CD featuring thirty tracks, and a three disc digipack with an additional DVD which offers two exclusive documentaries, ‘The Lightning Strike’ animated film and previously unseen live footage. A limited edition heavyweight box will also be made available on a strictly limited run. Each box will be numbered and wrapped in cloth and is a veritable treasure trove for fans, containing the two disc CD, three heavyweight LPs, two DVDs, a lithograph print by Bradley Quinn and an LP-sized booklet.
You can pre-order the Box Set now by clicking here.
‘Just Say Yes’, one of three new tracks on the album, will be released as a single on November 2nd on Fiction.
The ‘Up To Now’ tracklisting is:

If I don't get this when it comes out right away maybe Santa will bring it to me in December, if I'm good!!
Monday 9/21/09 U2's second night at Gillette Stadium! I took the day off from work. Didn't want to be late coming in and have to leave early to go to the show, so I scheduled it off! Good thing too!!!
My brother and I left again at the same time around 3:30. There would be rush hour traffic to deal with and we wanted to be in Foxboro before that happened!
Our seats the second night were in section 130. Almost right below our Club seats the night before! My brother checking out our view
Have I mentioned that I love Snow Patrol ??!! I do! This is now the fourth time that I saw them open for U2 and they were great! Also, because it was their last night on tour with U2 the crew came on stage with them at one point. It was very cool to see!!!!!!!
So, every night U2 have been opening up with Breathe. Larry comes out first and then Adam and The Edge join him on stage and Bono is last. Well, tonight they all walked out together!! Then I knew it wasn't going to be Breathe. It wasn't....it was Magnificent!!! I LOVE Magnificent and thought it worked well as an opener. But, they dropped Breathe tonight....and I love that song too! LOL
They played 'Your Blue Room' again tonight. LOVE this song, but some people at the show took this moment to go get a drink. Their loss!
Have to say that the energy in the crowd and with the band seemed higher tonight!!!! I was soaking it all in because this is the last show this year that I will be seeing!!
This was the set list Monday night (from U2Tours)
Venue: Gillette Stadium Opening Act(s): Snow Patrol Main Set: Magnificent, No Line On The Horizon, Get On Your Boots, Mysterious Ways, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Elevation, Your Blue Room, Beautiful Day, Unknown Caller, Until the End of the World, Stay (Faraway, So Close), The Unforgettable Fire, City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo - Stories for Boys, I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (remix), Sunday Bloody Sunday, MLK, Walk On, One - Amazing Grace, Where the Streets Have No Name Encore(s): Ultraviolet, With or Without You, Moment of Surrender Comments: For the first time, U2 opens its set with a song other than Breathe. That song is dropped altogether, also a first. Bono sings a bit of 'Mofo' at the start of City of Blinding Lights. Vertigo includes a bit of 'Stories for Boys,' just like on the Vertigo Tour, and sees Bono wearing a pair of devils' horns. On Snow Patrol's final night of support, some of the U2 crew join them on stage to sing 'Shut Your Eyes' and give lead singer Gary Lightbody a white, feathered boa. Ashley Judd is at the show, as is NFL star Tom Brady.
Usually after each tour I rate the shows and put them in order of my personal preference. I know that sounds crazed but I do it! LOL
Right now though it would have to be Wembley 1 & 2, Chicago 1& 2 and then Boston 2 & 1.
After I let it sink in I rate the tour with previous ones. Hmmmmm! Where will 360 end up??!
More photos from 9/21
Soldier Field is huge!!!!! I met so many nice people at the show!! The crowd was so EXCITED for U2 opening their US tour in Chicago!!!
I LOVE hearing the new songs live! Especially Magnificent when Bono gives a little introduction then an 'Uhhhhhhhh' and goes into the 'Oohhhh ohh ohh oh' Swoooooooooooooooon! : )
The Streets, One, Bad combo gets me every time. Yes, I get teary eyed. Still. : )
According to U2Tours this was my setlist for 9/12/09:
Main Set: Breathe, No Line On The Horizon, Get On Your Boots, Magnificent, Beautiful Day, Elevation, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Stand By Me, Stuck In A Moment, Unknown Caller, The Unforgettable Fire, City of Blinding Lights, Vertigo, I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (remix), Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride, MLK, Walk On - You'll Never Walk Alone, Where the Streets Have No Name, One, Bad Encore(s): Ultraviolet, With or Without You, Moment of Surrender Comments: The 2nd leg of U2 360 begins with a safe show that's very similar to earlier European concerts. Bono introduces the whole band before I Still Haven't Found, just like he used to do on the Elevation Tour. He sings a bit of 'Far Far Away' at the start of Beautiful Day, a bit of 'Oliver's Army' during Sunday Bloody Sunday, and adds a couple lines from 'Fool To Cry' and '40' at the end of Bad. Although the band rehearsed Your Blue Room and changes to One & Streets over the past couple nights, they're apparently not ready to play them yet. These are some of my favorite photos from that night: The Claw right before U2 come out. Huge crowd.
The Edge and Adam on the big screen
Bono on the steps
Bono grooving!
Where the Streets Have No Name
Purple Claw with huge crowd
Get out your cell phones
I didn't get a cab back to my hotel until after 1:30 in the morning, but it was ok. I was a very, very, very happy girl !!
I got to go back to Soldier Field the next night!! : )
