Yaaah baby... U2 tonight at Gillette Stadium! My fabulous cousin Stace is joining me. Can't wait! Picking her up at the T and making our way over to Foxboro after work.
In all the years that I've been going to see U2 shows I've never seen one with Stacy. Not sure how that happened, but it's just plain wrong I tell you! We had tickets to the Vertigo tour in 2001, but conflicting social obligations sent us in different directions. It's too bad too, because that was an amazing show that just happened to be taped for the dvd. I have yet to find myself on-screen though... but I'm still looking.
And yes, I do realize that the last time I vox'd was at the start of summer and that tomorrow is the first official day of autumn. I'm good like that. At least I'm consistent.
I'm looking forward to fall. It's my favorite time of year. Warm days and cool nights... perfect. I love the changing of the seasons... especially summer into fall. Got a few days off from work planned in October and my goal is to play the tourist and check out all the seasonal things I've not done in many years, if ever. Salem is a must in October... no explaination necessary.
If patterns persist... catch you in December on the eve of winter. Toodles!
Summer is finally here! What are your plans?
Immediate plans are to once again pull on my wellies and wade through the puddles to get where I'm going.
It has been raining for days and is supposed to continue for the rest of the week.
Hopefully the first full weekend of summer will live up to it's name and at least be warm and dry.
Heck... I'd take either warm or dry at this point!
Beyond that, plans are not planned yet.
Possibly getting a visit from across the pond in August, but nothing definite. We'll see. Just going to take it as it comes and enjoy every day as it is.
Happy Summer!
What three things do you regret not learning to do?
- Speak multiple languages fluently
- Computer programming
- Swimming without holding my nose
All things that would have come in VERY handy in adulthood.
Hindsight truly is 20/20.
Yes... I believe it has!
Has it seriously been since, oh, NOVEMBER since I visited my poor little VOX?
That's just pathetic.
I'm sorry VOX...
Well... I'm a little sorry ;)
There are only five shopping days left before Christmas... Who do you still need to buy presents for this year?
Nobody! I'm done!! Still don't quite believe it myself, but it's true... I am finished shopping for Christmas presents... but still have to do the food shopping for Christmas dinner... does that count?
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks. What are you thankful for today?
- My family
- My friends
- My puppies
- Good health
- A roof over my head
- A job to go to every day
- A car to get me to and from said job
- A hobby to distract me from said job
- So many more things that would bore you to tears
- etc.
Has it really been almost a month since I Voxed?? Wow... time really DID fly, though having fun had nothing to do with it.
So... what's new?
- Had a birthday.
- Got a new boss.
- Very, very busy at work.
- Took a jewelry/beading class. I'm hooked! Just what I need... another hobby requiring needless spending.
- Starting to plan my January trip to California for CHA.
- Ran out of the cute little candy filled pails we give out to the kids on Halloween. Had plenty of candy bars to take their place though... none of them knew the difference. They see a bag of M&Ms and all is right in their world.
- "Supervised" the pumpkin carving at Denise's annual pumpkin massacre.
- Consumed some very yummy mini pumpkin whoopie pies Kelly made.
- Baked coffee cakes.
- Got the dogs groomed. I just love it when the are all clean and pretty :)
- so much more that I just won't bore you with.
Here's hoping I'm back again before 12/11!
What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Nothing better on a rainy day than to stay in and be creative while the iPod is playing or a good 80's movie is on in the background. So fun. Would love to be doing that today, but one of those "job" thingies just keeps getting in the way. Oh well... there's always the weekend!
